At Corpay, protecting your Mastercard cardholders from fraud and identity theft is a top priority. That’s why we offer the Alerts and Notifications Program—a powerful tool designed to enhance card security and minimize risk.
How It Works
When a suspicious transaction is detected by our internal risk analysis system, your cardholders receive a real-time text alert. They can then confirm whether the transaction is legitimate:
- If confirmed as fraud, the card is locked, and all further transactions are declined. However, cardholders can override a declined transaction if it’s from the same merchant and for the same amount.
- If the transaction is legitimate, they simply reply to the message and continue using their card as normal.
- Optional alerts are also available for non-fraudulent declines, such as entering an incorrect PIN, allowing cardholders to quickly correct the issue and retry the transaction.
Why Enroll?
This program is especially valuable for cardholders who travel frequently. Even if a card number is compromised, the cardholder can continue using their card securely. Plus, administrators can opt to receive the same alerts for added oversight.
Getting Started
To enroll, contact your Corpay representative. You’ll need:
- Customer mobile numbers and email addresses
- An 8-character company abbreviation for alerts
- Optional admin email addresses for alert copies
Cardholders will receive an enrollment email with instructions. To activate, they simply text “IN” to 57911 from their registered mobile phone. Please note that 57911 is for U.S. cards only.
Important Notes
- You must be enrolled in fraud alerts to receive optional decline notifications.
- Standard text and data rates may apply, depending on the cardholder’s mobile carrier.
- The real phone number of the cardholder must be registered, and no Google or international numbers can be used.
