The Coding of a Receipt feature in the mobile app lets users add coding details when uploading a receipt. This can help speed up expense processing by allowing receipt details to be captured at the time of upload instead of later in the workflow. This feature is especially useful for organizations that automate expense creation, expense report assignment, and approval workflows. When coding details are added during receipt upload, users may be able to complete more of the process in one step instead of going back later to update the expense item.
How it works
Follow the steps below to use the Receipt coding feature in the Corpay Complete Mobile Application.
1. Login to the Corpay Complete Mobile app.
2. Tap the Receipts module from the bottom of the screen.
3. Tap the red + Icon and select Add Receipt from the available options.
4. Upload a receipt by taking a photo or choosing an image from your library.
5. Enter a receipt note if needed.
6. Select the option to add expense allocation details.
IMPORTANT
Users are not required to complete coding fields when submitting a receipt. If they do not want to enter coding details at that time, they can submit the receipt with the receipt note only and continue with their normal process. The receipt can still match later, and the remaining expense details can be completed afterward in the receipt details or expense item form.
IMPORTANT
If a user chooses to enter coding details during receipt upload, any required fields must be completed before saving those coding details. Required fields may be marked in the app, and if they are left blank, the user may need to complete them later before finishing related expense actions.
7. Complete any available coding fields shown on the form, such as the same fields that appear on the expense item page.
8. Submit the receipt.
9. After the receipt matches to an expense item, the coded information can support the rest of the expense workflow.
Key notes
- This feature is available in the mobile app only.
- Coding fields shown during receipt upload mirror the fields configured on the expense item page.
- Users can begin creating or updating expense information from the receipt workflow.
- If coding details are not entered during receipt upload, they can be completed later.
- Receipts can still be uploaded and matched even if coding is deferred.
